The day was December 30, 2005 and we were celebrating Marién's move to New York. I met Marién earlier that year at a friend's gathering, a dancer and Yoga student; she was drawn to my passion in learning photography and was willing to pose patiently as I fumbled with my recently acquired camera learning how to pose people. Over the year we became very good friends and her eager smiles and positive attitude became a very welcome sight.

The X100 has especially brought a lot of positive feedback from every photographer I know that uses it, with some users going as far as selling the rest of their gear and dedicating themselves to a very simple system.

Even though I have some issues with the focusing speed of the camera, im fast becoming a big fan of it. The 16mm lens keeps the whole package quite small and it attracts very little attention from bystandaers. Also it includes quite a few presets like panorama, selective coloring and a few more. As you can see from my pictures im a fan of the high contrast black and white preset.

reddit,

Today, the US House Judiciary Committee has a hearing on the [1] Stop Online Piracy Act or SOPA. The text of the bill is [2] here. This bill would strengthen copyright holders' means to go after allegedly infringing sites at detrimental cost to the freedom and integrity of the Internet. As a result, we are joining forces with organizations such as the EFF, Mozilla, Wikimedia, and the FSF for [3] American Censorship Day.

Part of this act would undermine the [4] safe harbor provisions of the [5] Digital Millenium Copyright Act which would make sites like reddit and YouTube liable for hosting user content that may be infringing. This act would also force search engines, DNS providers, and payment processors to cease all activities with allegedly infringing sites, in effect, walling off users from them.

This bill sets a chilling precedent that endangers everyone's right to freely express themselves and the future of the Internet. If you would like to voice your opinion to those in Washington, please consider [6] writing your representative and the sponsors of this bill:
